Engineers from Aviadvigatel attended the 62nd Scientific & Technical Session of the Russian Academy of Science (RAS) on the Gas Turbines and Steam & Gas Units.
The RAS regular session was held on September 22-24 in Moscow, housed by All-Russian Thermal Engineering Research & Development Institute (VTI). During this session specialists shared experiences on the technology processes structural optimization as applied to the ground-based Gas Turbine Units (GTU). The event was organized by the RAS Gas Turbine Commission, Mosenergo, VTI, and Gas Turbine Technology Association.
Session was attended by specialists from Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Perm, Kharkov, Rybinsk, Samara, Ekaterinburg and other cities. Aviadvigatel’s engineers made four presentations on topics: «Experience of creation and utilization of 200 MW CHP plants at a Perm Oil Processing Plant» (Daniil Sulimov); «34 & 40 MW GTU Development» (Oleg Belopotapov); «Evolvement of authorized repair & maintenance service of Gas Turbine Power Plants made by Aviadvigatel» (Takhir Khairulin, Evgeniy Yaninov); «Expansion of the operation scope and advance in margin stability of the GTU axial compressor» (Andrey Plotnikov).
Within the framework of the Science & Technical Session, the RAS Gas Turbine Commission, Gas Turbine Technology Association and OAO “VTI” hold a competition among young specialists for the best scientific or engineering work in the Development, Design, Manufacture and Operation of power and industrial Gas Turbine and Steam & Gas Units. As a result of this competition the Prize of the Second Degree was awarded to Andrey Plotnikov, Head of 3D CFD Team, Calculation & Experimental Works for the Ground GTU Compressors, Aviadvigatel. He presented the project on the Expansion of the operation scope and advance in margin stability of the GTU axial compressor, which was distinguished by the Prize of the Second Degree and cash prize.
